Catching Up

I dropped the ball – again! I couldn’t blog because I was simultaneously bored and overwhelmed. Does that make sense to you? I can only sort through the camera and provide a brief summary.

DSC03133I took The Boyz down to Jenkinson’s Boardwalk. Remember this photo? Wow. Good to see all the progress that was made on that boardwalk. So much to do. Figure the best we can do is to keep going down the shore and spending money at local attractions. Will do. DSC03326

The Annual Blue & Gold celebration for Cub Scouts made Mikey into a 2nd Year Webelo. Last year as a cub, and then it’s off to Boy Scouts.

There are sooooooooooooo many ‘stop-motion’ pictures on my camera that I can’t see a thing! They are all so crazy, btw, lego minifigs fighting strange opponents. 1000s of pictures. I am thinking that mama needs a new camera!

Gabby the Tabby joined our family today and she is really cute and very playful. She has this tiny little funny noise she makes – kind of like a wheeze with a chirp – of course. She is acclimating to the chaos nicely. I am sure she will bring some of her own.

DSC03955Things haven’t been ‘quite right’ since I hurt my back. I mean, my back feels great, but ‘something’ is awry. We had a terrible time getting the house back in order and I even resorted to some help with that. It seems like right this second there is so much to do, so many things to consider, thoughts to sort out, and emotions to contend with. There are clothes to be sorted, and books that need reading, and philosophies to consider, and decision to make. It is all so specific and completely amorphous. Is the air just a little heavier than usual right now?

I admire how you get up and go…that is something I wish I did more of…It has to be on my calendar for me to go do it and I always feel so bogged down that I hate adding stuff to my schedule. Maybe it’s that I work two days a week…I am constantly thinking of quitting so we can do more.

    Gabby the Tabby is adorable!!

I am glad your back is feeling better. I am sure that in time, you will catch up on things and then there will be more things to do…isn’t there always? I never feel caught up!
